Margie Calderon
Founder & Sporting Director
Hi, I’m Margie — the founder and director of PALMS Adventure Camp. Creating a joyful, safe, and enriching space for children has always been close to my heart.
My professional background includes years of experience in preschool and Pre-k Education, childcare, house management, event planning, and after-school care, where I developed a deep understanding of how to support children while creating organized, nurturing environments for families. Through these experiences, I learned that children thrive when they feel seen, encouraged, active, and genuinely cared for.
I also studied Sociology and Criminal Justice, which gave me valuable insight into child development, family systems, communication, safety awareness, and the importance of building strong communities. These studies continue to shape the thoughtful and structured way I lead programs today.
PALMS Adventure Camp was created from my passion for combining everything children need most during summer: movement, confidence-building, outdoor adventure, creativity, social connection, and fun.
As both a director and a parent, I understand how important it is to trust the people caring for your child. My goal is to create a camp experience where children feel excited to come each day, supported while they grow, and proud of the new skills they gain.
I look forward to welcoming your family to PALMS this summer.
With warmth,
Margie Calderon

Rosa Sosa
Activity Assistant
Jackie’s journey into youth sports began over several years ago when she first discovered athletics as a way to find balance amidst the demands of a high-stress corporate career. After experiencing the profound physical and mental benefits of running, she decided to leave her job and dedicate herself fully to the practice.
Driven her love for the transformative power of running, Jackie decided to make the move from weekend athlete to running coach. Her vision was to create a space where she might instruct children in a way that allows them discover themselves through athletics.
One Camp. Many Activities. Unlimited Fun.
